Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution - Sérum Anti-Imperfecciones

overly moisturizing for combination skin

I bought this serum about three months ago and settled on this particular formula after also looking at the regular salicylic acid serum, the clarifying serum, and niacinamide, and settled on this one since quite a few of the five-star reviews seemed to have similar skin concerns to me. I tend to have combination skin that is a little bit more sensitive than average, but nothing too crazy, and was mainly trying the address my blackheads, uneven skin texture, and very very mild acne. In the past, I have found that a lot of acne treatments leave my skin tight red, and peeling, but forgoing active/exfoliating ingredients altogether leads to painful under-the-skin pimples. Anyway, all that to say, I used this product nightly with only moisturizer for 2 1/2 months; after the first two weeks I noticed a smattering of small pimples on my forehead, which I almost never break out, but chalked it up to my skin purging. The serum is very oily feeling and would not absorb into my skin even after letting it sit for 24 hours, and mostly ended up on my pillow. fast forward to now, and I still have not noticed a single change in my skin besides the forehead pimples, which after lots of research, have found out are fungal and caused by the anhydrous element of the serum. I really really wanted this serum to work for me, as it seems to have for others, but it wasn't meant to be.

Made me break out!

I think this stuff actually made my breakouts worse. I am not sure it's actually good for acne prone skin.

Glowing skin

Great in winter, I used it as PM routine. Not daily. Helps to reduce the pores

Very oily , much more than needed , the normal acid is drying out my mouth area and this one is really oily so had few breakouts immediately, so I’m going back to my Creightons

Amazing results

Have been using this for a month now and absolutely love it. Searched for a decade for a product that actually helps my break outs and have finally found it. Significantly less frequent/severe break outs, finally. Wish I had tried this sooner!

Menopausal acne

I am trying this for menopausal acne. I have always had good, clear skin so the redness and very bumpy and inflamed spots on my cheeks has been a bit of a shock. I have been using this for about 4 weeks and my skin has improved. The redness is less and the soreness has lessened. I still get obvious spots but I know a skincare product won't solve the problem. My skin is less sore, less red and the texture is improved.

Great for dry, sensitive, acne prone skin!

I really love this product. I don’t normally like products in general. I can understand why some people don’t like this. Oil just messes some people up. I have dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. I mostly deal with super clogged pores and dry patches. SA is an oil lover and this is the only product I’ve seen with SA in a leave on oil product. It’s very very nice if you have skin concerns like mine, otherwise it’s a coin toss. I’ll also note that no matter what this will make someone purge more than likely. I use tretinoin and every once in a while I use this solution before I get in the shower and sort of use it as a first cleanse or I use it after I do my routine and use it on a day I decide not to use tretinoin. Love it! Suits my skin and concerns!

Moisturizing and light.

I like this version of the salicylic acid solution because it is a little bit gentler than the other ones and more moisturizing. I suffer from acne and this is a great bedtime serum.

Bad smelling product

I just started to use it but I really don't like the fact that It has a rancid smell. Definitely avoid if you have a sensitive nose.

No effect, stings the eyes, too liquid

For me this one doesn’t work. The other formula in the clear bottle is great, this one here is too liquid/runny for a good application, the eyes burn even hours after application and the effect is not noticeable.
