Smells so fresh and clean without being overpowering. Added onto my shampoo routine 1x every other week. It makes my scalp feel SO clean and all my usual products (Redken) work and feel their absolute best again. I use a filtered shower head for hard water as well, but this still helps with any left over build up. My hair is porous/wavy, prone to be dry. This did not strip it at all or make it feel crunchy, if anything it made my conditioner and leave-in products work 10x better.

My scalp was often itchy, overly oil, and had acne sometimes. Never found a product can sooth it or control the oil efficiently. This shampoo amazed me with the immediate results. The smell is nice too!

If your hair gets oily in 1-2 days I highly recommend this. I’ve went through 6 bottles already and no other shampoo could compare. I’ve seen a lot of people complain that it doesn’t fix oily hair I would recommend to double wash and also put it only on your scalp.

The best shampoo I've owned

I have been struggling with oil hair for a long time I wanted try something new, I've used the shampoo three times so far and my hair has been looking and feeling so much better.

Doesn’t help with my greasy hair at all

I wanted this to work so badly. I have extremely greasy hair and have tried many shampoos. My hair is greasy immediately after using this shampoo, even when accompanied by dry shampoo. I wouldn’t waste your $.

Like I just came from the salom

I have very oily hair and It cleans your hair very thoroughly. I can go 3 or more days between washing without it looking greasy. It smells amazing, like I just came from a nice salon. And the packaging is clean and simple, which lends itself to the feeling I like to have when I’m in my bathroom - at the spa. I highly recommend this product. Its a bit expensive for what I see in the website but I think its totally worthy

Deep cleans buildup & residue and keeps oil at bay

I have struggled with oily scalp all my life and often use dry shampoo in between washes which leaves major residue on my scalp. Since I have been using Shu Uemure Pure Serenity Deep Cleanser (for oily hair & scalp) my hair has been noticeably cleaner. I don't have to use dry shampoo as often either. I apply the deep cleanser and use a massaging scalp brush to really make sure it gets spread evenly throughout my hair & scalp. The results are legit and I can see a difference in how quickly my hair gets greasy. It really helps to keep oil at bay.

I was excited to try this product. My scalp is always greasy and I feel like it’s never clean. I wash my hair only 2x max a week. It’s very oily and never seems clean. I tried this with hopes my scalp would have less irritation and feel clean. The scent was not too bad. I did feel a tingling feeling when I used it. It lathered well and made my scalp feel clean. It did dry my scalp out more than I thought it would. I wouldnt use it more than 1x week. But overall it did clean the buildup on my scalp and left it less greasy. It took a couple treatments.

Great for oily hair with scalp psoriasis

I live in a hot, humid climate, and I have long, fine blonde hair. It's a recipe for greasy hair! I love using this shampoo once or twice per week to really get rid of oil and styling product buildup, along with scales from scalp psoriasis and residue from a foam-based medication that I use to treat it. Yes it's Shu Uemura, so it's pricey! But a little of this shampoo goes a long way. Definitely recommend.

Shampoo of my dreams

I love everything about this shampoo. You get the really good deep cleansing of a typical clarifying shampoo and it doesn’t leave your hair dry, dull and moisture less. It opens up your follicles as well and leaves your scalp grease free and able to breath. The scent is light and natural smelling not full of heavy perfumes. I use this shampoo once or twice a week and every time I feel like I’ve just left the salon.

A Must Have For My Hair!!

I absolutely love this shampoo! My scalp is so oily but at the same time, I have problems with sebhorric dermatitis and psoriasis. So I am also dealing with major flaking, especially as the weather gets colder here. Additionally, I work out and I feel like my hair never feels clean from the sweat. This shampoo handles it all. I have tried clarifying shampoos that just weigh my hair down and dont really do anything about all of the issues I have with my scalp...this does it all. Plus, I absolutely love the scent. It's really fresh, and clean. And it doesn't bother my sensitive nose. I use this 1-2 times a week in my routine, and it has significantly cut down on the number of times I have to wash my hair and also on the flakiness of my scalp. It will be a regular part of my routine from now on for sure.

Deep cleansing

Love that it doesn't stip down my hair, it get my hair clean and hair feels so soft and weightless. The citrus scent us wonderful not too overwhelming and it has a great lather. A little goes a long way.
