PRO Eyeshadow Palette 01 Neutral Mattes

This is my first experience with this brand and I must say, I'm impressed! One of the colors arrived broken but that did not deter my opinion on how awesome this palette was. The formula is delicate and soft. However, there was little fallout and it blended like a dream. The colors are absolutely beautiful and the quality is there.

A makeup artist’s dream palette

This palette is my daily workhorse, my ride or die. Yes it’s expensive, but in addition to eyeshadow I also use it as contour and bronzer/blush and highlight. You have just about every color of matte bronzer, contour and highlight you would ever want to sculpt your face like an artist. Viseart themselves recommend using this palette for the face, in addition to eyes (the description for this palette on their website lists in detail everything you can do on the face with each shade, it’s so helpful) the shades are extremely pigmented, I just need to touch my brush in the pan and knock off the excess, and I can bronze a whole side of my face. For eyeshadow, the colors are both pigmented and buildable, and as many others say, they blend themselves. You just need to pick 3 shadows in the palette - light, medium and dark, and you have your eye look. To finish the look, I like to use a shimmer palette to add a touch of light in the inner eye corner and the middle of the lid - but this isn’t necessary. I find the formulation of the mattes in this palette are very forgiving for mature eyelids! They just blend flawlessly, you don’t need to work hard for your look. If I was traveling the world and could only bring one palette with me this is the chosen one, you can do your entire face with it and just pop on some mascara to finish. It’s an ideal palette for a minimalist. Yes the packaging is very basic and not ‘pretty’, but if you put yourself in a makeup artist’s shoes it makes perfect sense. I’m hoping in the future Viseart would create more robust empty palettes, that I could just transfer my favorite shades in.

The PERFECT Palette For Everyone

The Good: I own two of these palettes the neutral mattes and the warm mattes and I cannot (yet) speak for the quality/efficiency of the metallics or the satins. Therefore, this review is only for the mattes. These shades have the best quality I have ever experienced: buttery, luxurious, so easily blendable. Somehow Viseart found a way to crack the ultimate wants for a matte eyeshadow that seems almost impossible to achieve: buildable coverage with high pigmentation pay off. I've owned both of these palettes for a while and whenever I travel I bring at least one of them with me, 100% of the time. Let's be real, most palettes are highly lacking in the matte shades department. I love me a good shimmer, satin or full blown glitter pop-but you NEED a matte for blending, transitions, the crease, etc. Basically, mattes are necessary in EVERY look regardless of the look itself. Gone are the days looking through your entire palette collection to find a matte shade to match the look you are going for, these are IT. They add so much dimension, depth and creativity to the "least creative shades out there-mattes" (not my opinion, but the popular opinion). At the same time, if you need a more subdued look, don't dabble in bold makeup looks much and want a high-quality practical palette that you are actually going to use on a regular basis... these are also for you. If you're traveling or have limited space: these palettes are slim, they pack well and fit on a vanity very nicely. 10 out of 10 stars. The Bad: The warm matte palette has seemingly disappeared from this site which is truly tragic because that was their strongest color scheme (in my opinion) and is everyones favorite matte Viseart palette. The Ugly/Honest: The quality of the packaging is subpar, boring and possibly for the price-point downright unacceptable. I would usually take off a star for this, but the quality of the palettes shines too bright for that to be justifiable here. Well played, Viseart. Well played.

This review is for the Neutral Matte palette. I was so worried about buying this- even with the fall sale because the price point. However, now that I've used this palette I actually regret the last palettes I purchased because the value on this is so much better. Rhe shades are easy to blend and are pigmented even without primer. Now that I have hit my 30s, texture is more apparent on my eyelids, but the texture of this formulation isn't chalky like other matte eyeshadow. I've never written a review before, but I wanted to just say, this is a versatile palette, and I wish I had not spent so much time and money trying other formulas when I had read how good the Viseart formulation is.

Coy - Stunning

So in love with the Coy palette. These shimmers are so beautiful. You can do sheer washes of color or build them up for a more intense look. There’s also a few unique duo-chrome shades in here too. They all layer so well over other shadows and I just can’t say enough good things about this. Another Viseart hit.

This matte eyeshadows blend like a dream to ke they are natasha denona quality they blemd incredible!!! The price is quite up there tho…

Top notch quality!

I’m so lucky that was able to pick this pallet up for a discounted price from one of my beauty subscription box sales rather than paying full price, as I have wanted to try this brand but didn’t have the funds to fork over for paying full price. The formula of the shadows are incredible! Very pigmented and blend with ease. I will definitely purchase the smaller pallets in this brand because it’s professional quality!

Cool Mattes 1 - discontinued so get it now!

**This palette has been discontinued so get it while you can** Viseart's matte shadow formula is my all time favorite and this and Cool Mattes 2 are my most used palettes. The formula is deceptive in that the shadows feel thin and dry to the touch and they don't swatch very well but when applied with a brush, they are pigmented, buildable and blend themselves. The colors look on the eye just as they do in the pan, they don't muddy up and, because they aren't silicone heavy, there is very little creasing or fading, even without an eye primer. There is some kickup in the pan but tapping off any excess before application eliminates fallout. These palettes are pricey but, each shadow is 2 grams of product and it took me 2 yrs of regular use to even hit pan. They last forever and are definitely worth the investment. I'm vampire pale and only wear cool tones (warm tones make me look sick) and Cool Mattes 1&2 give me every shade I'd ever need to create a look, either on its own for daytime or as a base for metallics/liquid glitters at night. I can't recommend these palettes enough, especially Cool Mattes 1&2.
