Beautiful long lasting perfume

Opium has been one of my favorite scents since I was a young girl! My stepmom wore it and after searching for the right scent, I went back to my childhood and remembered how I loved this because of the way it resembles natural oils. I don’t get headaches from Opium and it goes well with my chemistry! It has a very sweet musk smell that goes perfectly with my chemistry.

I'M A GRANDMA AND I STILL LOVE OPIUM!!!

Opium was launched in 1977 at the height of the disco era, during which I was a teenager. I first smelled Opium at the now defunct Marshall Field's department store here in Chicago. I fell in love that day and bought my first bottle at age 18. I'm 62 (soon to be 63) and though the formulation has changed a bit, I still love it AND YES I'M A GRANDMA!!! I get so heated when I read reviews by younger women saying older perfumes smell like old ladies. Well guess what suga, that's exactly what we were back in those days...LADIES! Not every woman wants to smell like a pound cake, pumpkin pie, caramel apples, flowers, fruit and candy! I'll keep on using my Opium, Obsession, Magie Noire and my other "old lady" scents thank you very much!!!

Spicy Scent

I would describe this as the original spicy/oriental scent. Very rich and sensual. I have a family member that wears this. Every time I smell it I think of them.

This smells like goodwill in a bottle. It smells horrible. Goodwill is the only thing that comes to mind when I smell it. Just smells like old stale clothing.

Luv this Smells like sort of like baby powder on me. Very unique scent on me. I won’t wear anything else because anything else smells horrible on me. Dark blonde green eyes honey complexion.

70s Incense Store

This is so different, but not in a bad way. This is a very incense-heavy smell. I wore this and a friend actually thought someone had lit incense in his car. Unless you're going to yoga, I can't think of any real occasion to wear this, and it definitely has that old-school nostalgic perfume smell to it.

sexy, exotic, nostalgic

sexy, exotic, nostalgic scent for me. as an 80s child I think I had the drugstore spray "if you love opium..." so I can't say whether the current one resembles the original but to me it's perfect and brings back childhood memories. love it

Mature scent. grandmas favorite

My grandmas signature scent. She’s worn for decades or at least for many years. Smells so good but wouldn’t recommend if you’re younger. Very mature scent.

Men and Women say Wow!

I get so many compliments from men on how great I smell. I just put on a dash, but it's very alluring. Best perfume on the market forever and always.

Smells like a perfume for an older woman, but I gave it to my grandmother and she liked it. Definitely mature.

Smells like incense but in a good way

I actually ordered this BECAUSE of one review that said it smelled like an incense shop and they didn't like it. This truly does smell like an incense shop but in the best way. Not too over powering when it settles on the skin. I think the mixed of florals in this help tone down the mixes of the more incense type scents and make it a perfect mix. So if you want to smell sexy and mystical (and maybe like you mix potions), I'd say this is for you! Gave 4 stars because I'm not sure how long the wear is, but I have Black Opium which seems to stick around most of the day!
