Why?
I really don't understand the hype with this product. The scent is overwhelming and it is literally mineral oil, petroleum and algae. It it just a very thick cream with fragrance and algae. I have used far better moisturizers. Just use Nivea if you want a cream like this.

not worth the $$ and broke me out
Not great for my skin type way too heavy and broke me out + strong fragrance. I don’t think any moisturizer should be this much money. it is moisturizing but even in the winter this was too heavy for me :(

I will never use anything else again!
Results in one month! I’ve already ordered another jar because I know I will never go back to any other moisturizer. This has improved my skin’s texture, glow and reduced fine lines. It is costly but worth it.

will never use anything else
Loyal user for many years. No need to mention the cost in your reviews, fellow Sephorites-we all know it’s expensive. No need to mention the texture in your reviews, fellow Sephorites-if you read the product description, it clearly states the cream is dense and needs to be warmed up on your fingertips before using. Me? I use this nightly on top of my retinol and wake up with lovely, plump, moisturized skin. A must have for dry (maybe more mature) skin. Granted, it may not be for everyone but I won’t use anything else.

Bogus Creme
This product is the biggest scam. The creme is way to heavy and it's poor quality. La Mer tells you to rub it between your fingers until it turns clear but it never does. They are just trying to trick you into wasting product on your hands. This company is owned by the Estee Lauder who has a history of false advertising and promotions. You can find a better creme at the drugstore where they will also treat you better than La Mer.

No noticeable difference
I would NEVER repurchase this I honestly question is every review is legit… or its all in the users head. I am a skin care expert and this stuff is boo boo. I literally think it’s Nivea mixed with some cheap cold cream. Bunk.

It’s a necessity for my sensitive skin
Yes it’s expensive-it works for me and I have decided it’s worth it. Yes, it has fragrance in it. It smells like old school rich lady cold cream. I don’t mind it and don’t get any irritation from it. In fact, I have broken out from a lot of‘fragrance-free’ products because often they mask the scent. Anyways-you MIST apply this the correct way! You warm it up on your hands and press it into your skin gently. Warming it up allows the algae spheres to disperse and work their ‘magic’. Pls be kind to this tried and true classic.

Expensive Nivea knock-off
This face cream is completely indistinguishable from Nivea face cream! I almost cannot believe it. The texture, smell, the way it feels on your skin -- it's truly just overpriced Nivea. Wild. Just buy a big blue tub of Nivea and skip this!

I will stick with my Caudalé.
I am amazed that they have continued to sell this at such a ridiculous price. I tried the small size, and found it not to be as good as the Caudalé that I have uses for years. Don't understand the hype.

OVERRATED & stiff like paste!
I received a sample of this in one of my orders. It’s horrible! I would never purchase this crème. It feels like putty on your skin when you apply it. It doesn’t glide at all. Shishedo wins!

Nope.
There are 9, yes, 9 different fragrances in the "high-end" cream!" The likelihood of a breakout or irritation surpasses me at this price point. I always recommend getting on and researching the ingredients before you buy and apply. This cream has 2 ingredients that are in every single moisturizer made, Vitamin B5 and Glycerin. If you want the name on your bathroom sink, find an empty container and fill it with a moisturizer that will actually strengthen your skin barrier.

I really wanted to hate this
I got a sample in the rewards bazaar just to see what the hype is all about. It’s so overpriced (thus the deducted star) but I just couldn’t make myself hate it. I tried! It has worked wonders for my dry, sensitive skin. Within a week, my skin is glowy with no stinging sensations EVER. Not only that, my acne is getting better. Have my moisturizers been making it worse this entire time? I really don’t want to buy the full size, but I think I might have to. I cannot say goodbye to my new and improved skin.

La historia de La Mer es de una historia de curación y de un hombre profundamente convencido de que el mar contiene recursos milagrosos.
El Dr. Max Huber, físico, sufrió quemaduras en la cara durante uno de sus experimentos y decidió buscar una cura ...

Smells like Ponds, sticky and greasy
Does not live up to the hype. I was so excited for this moisturizer since it sounds so luxurious, and the marketing makes it sound like a miracle for the skin. However, in reality, I haven't found this to be an amazing product. Firstly, the scent smells exactly like Pond's face cream which immediately makes me think this product is cheap. Secondly, the texture is very hard to work with. It is very gluey and pulls on the skin if I apply it straight from the jar. I find it works better if I really vigorously rub my hands together to warm up the product to make it easier to apply. It feels very heavy and greasy on my skin, and maybe the heaviness would be better for drier months, or those with dry skin. For me, this product just doesn't live up to the expectations. I think the ceramic jar is nice, but visually the product doesn't look high end with the plain white, almost medicinal looking design. Overall, I am disappointed by the product and not repurchasing.
