Favorite mask that's not a mask!

I absolutely love this moisturizing overnight mask. I'm not sure what all the other complaining reviews are about, except that I'm thinking most of you are putting it on wrong. You don't apply a thick coating like a mask, just get a quarter size glob and rub it in between your hands and apply it like a nice moisturizer all over your face like you would a regular moisturizer. Then leave it on overnight. In the morning just rinse it off; you won't believe how wonderful your skin feels and how firm it looks and feels! this is one of my favorite all time Kiehls products. Can't live without it!

Used as a cream

Fell just below the mark for me but is a great moisturizer!

I purchased this because I saw it in January Jones skin care products on insta and her skin is effing flawless so I thought this was the secret. My skin still does not look or feel like January Jones but this mask smelled good, moisturizes through the night, however did not get the full firming effect. I did set the bar rather high.. I still use this mask though

This mask always peeled and moved on my skin. Also the texture is very off putting. I believe that for the amount you pay you can find a better mask that can do way more for you.

I love this mask so much! I received the tester size and took a while to use it but right away noticed a difference. You need to apply it quickly and not rub over it. I use it after my toner and moisturizer but wait until my face is a little dryer. I have oily and extremely sensitive skin, so I always get scared of leaving anything overnight but this mask did not irritate whatsoever.

This is the 3rd jar of this that I've purchased. It really brightens up my skin and helps to keep my skin looker younger than i am haha. I think it's great if you don't have the time to use a regular mask. It feels thick on the face but not uncomfortable, it leaves a slight tacky feeling until its fully absorbed. It does have a scent to it, it doesn't bother me as i quite like it. I have combination/ oily skin and this doesn't make my skin any oiler.

I love this mask. It smells great and feels so moisturizing on your skin before bed. The quantity has lasted much longer than expected when I first ordered this. Definitely worth the money!

I love Kiehl’s products, but this did nothing for my skin. I’ve used it 4 nights now and I don’t notice/see/feel a difference. It’s an overnight mask and doesn’t seem very moisturizing which I don’t like as my final step...especially in the middle of winter.

Eh... as a big fan of many of the Kiehl’s products for my skincare, not a huge fan of this mask at all. I’m in my 30s and love taking great care of my skin (which is dry). I bought this mask (as if I needed another, but I like to use different masks every 5-7 days & switch it up). I follow a strict skincare regimen morning & night. After going through almost all the masks I currently have, I decided to try this one last night finally. I guess I didn’t notice when I purchased it that it was a leave on mask. So that’s my first qualm about it - it disrupts my regular PM routine (although I did add some moisturizer & Kiehls oil on top). Second, I followed the instructions but quickly it started to pill. I thought maybe it was dry skin coming off and quickly came on to read reviews - saw this is a common occurrence. I understand now that it shouldn’t be rubbed in much, or too long. I really didn’t notice any added hydration (and my skin really needs it in these cold winter months on the east coast) which is why I added my moisturizer on top. I really didn’t notice any difference in my skin at all like I do with my other masks. The piling really bothers me because it got around my hairline and it looked like I have dandruff when I woke up. While it’s really nice and luxurious to use a good mask, which I’m sure the ingredients here are good & it’s quality as I feel all Kiehl’s products are, this mask was a bummer for me. This is one Kiehl’s product I won’t be repurchasing. I have 3 stars because it’s not bad, but I didn’t feel it was great / worth the $ either. I didn’t feel any firming or anything “immediately” as it states, so I’ll continue to invest in the masks that I can use that don’t disrupt my regular routines or that I have to keep on all night.

Feels great and absorbs well

Thick consistency and moisturizing for my night routine. I have sensitive skin and didn’t experience burning or irritation. I would say it is helpful to have a scrub or exfoliant handy next day after use for pore cleaning. While it does moisturize nicely, I cannot say I noticed firming or skin clarity from this product.
