Smells good, but way too heavy. Leaves my hair nasty greasy. Worst hair oil I’ve ever tried

I had high hopes for the Sol de Janeiro Anti-Frizz, Heat-Protecting Hair Oil, especially given its price, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. While the scent is absolutely amazing—true to the brand’s signature warm, tropical fragrance—the product itself was a disappointment due to the malfunctioning spray nozzle. Instead of a fine mist, it either clogged or dispensed unevenly, making application frustrating and messy. For such an expensive product, I expected better packaging and functionality. Sadly, I won’t be repurchasing.

Just don’t!

This oil is so greasy and heavy feels like pure olive oil. Get the oleplex or gisou instead. Those are lighter. Only good thing about this is the smell.

The best for my hair with Frizz

I love it!!! I tried a thousand products for my hair with frizz and this product is everything I’m looking for. This definitely stays in my life forever!!! 🧡🧡🧡

this hair oil smelled HEAVENLY but u unfortunately it was a super sticky and weighed down my hair! also the packaging was always leaking

i LOVE THE SCENT of this oil and it does wonders on dry brittle hair. I use it every time I wash my hair before blow drying and the scent lasts all. day. long. like my pillow smells like it. it’s perfect — the one downside is it a bit wet/thick and feels heavy on dry hair

This hair oil made my hair smell so good! Afterwards my hair was pretty shiny, but this product did make my hair really greasy

It makes your hair really greasy no matter how much you put, and it’s really thick, BUT it has a great scent and it makes your hair really soft

SMELLS AMAZING

I love this Sol De Janeiro scent! This oil is VERY thick. I can only use it on my ends when my hair is curly. Sometimes I use extra as a pre-wash oil on my ends. The ONLY con I have is if I accidentally get it on my face it breaks me out like crazy so I have to be very careful with that.

I love this product on my kinky hair, this serves as a nice finishing oil to add shine and seal in moisture. The scent of course is divine! I don't find it heavy at all.... rather light, and suitable for daily use!

Doesn’t help with frizz at all, doesn’t do anything.
